This trail is part of an action programme designed to showcase the natural and cultural heritage of the Belgo-Luxembourg Ardennes.
Funded by the European Union, the Walloon Region and the Luxembourg State, this cross-border project was launched in May 2009 and ran until late 2012.
The project resulted in the creation of the 104-kilometre ESCAPARDENNE Eisleck TRAIL, a major discovery trail signposted in both directions, as well as six circular trails of varying lengths, allowing visitors to explore the region at their own pace.
The project also included the design of several hiking guides, a memory game, drinking bottles and a range of other promotional materials.
